The region
The West of Portugal is not called the “Last Paradise of Portugal” by many, for no reason.
Located between the Sea and the Mountains and with an extraordinary climate, it is one of the richest and most beautiful regions of the Iberian Peninsula, having attracted vast interest and investment in recent years.
Bathed by the salty waves of the Atlantic Coast, and perfumed by the sweet grape varieties that ripen in wine cooperatives, the West of Portugal has an immeasurable gastronomic, cultural and natural richness, providing well-being and happiness to its inhabitants and visitors.
Sevices
and Activities
Offering a variety of public and private services such as Hospitals, Administrative Services, International Schools, Express Transport and being located 45 minutes from Lisbon, this region is full of opportunities for the different stages of life, from building a family, to enjoying the reform, also being a prosperous and attractive tourist investment option.
The beaches of Nazaré, Peniche, São Martinho do Porto, Lourinhã and Lagoa de Óbidos stand out, where there is a wide range of water sports such as Surfing, Windsurfing, Kitesurfing, Fishing, Canoeing, Sailing, among others.
Culture
At a cultural level, it is imperative to highlight Caldas da Rainha, known worldwide for its ceramic art, as can be seen in the Ceramics Museum in Caldas, the Lourinhã Dinosaur Museum, which contains fossil relics from antiquity, and the Medieval Village of Óbidos, where several themed events take place throughout the year.
The region also has several clearly marked trails for Trekking and Walking, as well as several areas for cycling.
Also noteworthy are the Serra de Montejunto and the Buddha Eden park.
West Coast Richness
Being a traditionally agricultural and fishing region, it has excellent food products, which is reflected in the region's luxury gastronomy, highlighting wine, Água Ardentes wineries and liqueurs, or sweets produced with seasonal fruits, and explains because it is the stage for several international gastronomic fairs, such as the Portuguese Wine Festival and the National Pera Rocha Fair, which takes place annually in Bombarral.
The West of Portugal is, therefore, one of the last paradise regions in Portugal, providing a full, calm and happy life, and significantly close to the hustle of the city.
